1:30-3pm -- Tall Ship Pirate Invasion Sail aboard schooner WOLF.  Admiral Finbar and his scurvy crew invite you to join them for this swashbuckling adventure at sea! Meet at the WOLF (1/2 hour prior to departure) at KW Historic Seaport. Cost: $50 adults/$25 12 & under. Reservations: (305) 296-9694.

Learn first hand some of Key West’s rich & colorful maritime history and take quick peaks into several of Key West’s historic museums and attractions. Meet at the Schooner Wharf Bar and join the pirates for this fun stroll that takes you to several of Old Town Key West’s favorite watering holes and features libations at 3 pubs (Schooner Wharf Bar, Dante’s and Conch Republic Seafood Company). 4:30-6:30pm – Key West Maritime Holiday Party aboard the USS MOHAWK Museum Ship and Schooner WOLF at Truman Annex Waterfront Pier. FREE for members of the KWMHS and volunteers of the MOHAWK and KW Propeller Club of the US. Not a member or volunteer? 5pm – Official End of America’s Hurricane Season Ceremony at the USS/CGC/HMS MOHAWK (WPG-78). NOAA’s weather forecaster Matt Strahan & his crew will be on hand to symbolically signify the end of this year’s Hurricane Season. Truman Pier, foot of Southard Street. FREE.

7pm – Conch Republic Official End of America’s Hurricane Season VIP Party at Storm Bar at CLOUD Night Club. Join the Conch Republic’s High Command, NOAA’s weather forecaster Matt Strahan and his crew for this final farwell to the 2009 Hurricane Season. Eaton Street. COST: $10 per person.

Entertainment by Bone Island Buccaneers, Bawdy Be, Cascabel, The Pyrates of the Coast, Captain Crudbeard & Lady Barbara, the Callahan Crewe, Liberte' Sparrow and Braze include strolling minstrels & combative stunt men. 3-4pm – 5th Annual National Walk the Plank Championships aboard the WOLF with the Pyrates of the Coast at the Truman Annex Waterfront. Victims (uhh, contestants) vie for the honor and glory of becoming the 2009 Champion as they dive to their watery graves, pleading for their miserable lives and competing for valuable prizes. FREE Spectator viewing along the vendor booth lined shoreline. The public is invited to enter! Stop by the WOLF between Noon and 3 p.m. to sign up. First come, first served. 11am – Noon – Historic Reenactment of the “Pyrate Tryal of Anne Bonny & Mary Read.” (Based on the official trial transcripts of these infamous female pirates.) Enjoy the real life ambience of the Old City Hall, 511 Greene Street, which will make you and your family feel as if you were actually at the original trial.
