Official end of America's Hurricane Season Party and Key West's Maritime Holiday Party

& END OF HURRICANE SEASON CONCERT & SNEAK PREVIEW OF VILLAGE THIEVES’ MARKET

Truman Waterfront Commons, End of Southard Street, Old Town Key West

Admiral Finbar and the High Command of the Conch Republic Military, along with members of the USS MOHAWK CGC and USCGC INGHAM museum ships’ board and volunteers, Key West Maritime Historical Society, Propeller Club of the United States – Port of Key West and the Pirates in Paradise Crewe invite one and all to join them for their annual holiday celebration on Tuesday, November 30 at the Truman Waterfront Commons.

This FREE holiday party for members of Key West’s salty maritime community is also open to the public. Festivities begin at 3pm, and include a sneak preview of the Pirates in Paradise Festival’s Village Thieves’ Market & Holiday Bazaar and Pirate Pub, (which will officially open of Friday, December 3 and stay open thru the weekend.) The ceremonial burning of the hurricane flags, signifying the end of the quiet 2010 season, takes place at 4:30pm.

Enjoy the music of minstrels Rich in Spirit, Mary Spears and the piratical antics of the Pyrates of the Coast. Dance to the big band swing music of Mike Emerson’s Southernmost Brass Swing Band, Mary Spears and Reuben Morgan. Visit Village Market vendors who are selling everything from pirate booty & wooden swords, to fine crafted handmade jewelry, period arts & crafts, leather & lace, pottery and more!

The Conch Republic High Command also invites the public to join members of the Key West Maritime community for their Holiday Extravaganza that includes a Sunset Reception (4-6pm), scrumptious Holiday Feast catered by Croissants de France (6-8pm), Blackbeard’s Booty Rum Tastings and delectable Dessert & Coffee Bar (7-9pm) inside the VIP Hospitality Area, adjacent to the Festival’s Pirate Pub. VIP Sunset Reception tickets: $15/$20 at the door, VIP Admiral Feast tickets: $50/$75 at the door.
