FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE KEY WEST, FLORIDA…The Key West Maritime Historical Society of the Florida Keys is seeking new members and volunteers to help with several upcoming projects and programs. Dedicated to preservation, research, service and education, the Key West Maritime Historical Society is a non-profit, volunteer organization that relies on donations & corporate sponsorships to fulfill its mission. The Society is working with organizers of the annual Pirates in Paradise Festival on several events that also serve as fundraisers for the organization. On Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m., the public is invited to join guest authors and historians, along with the cast of the Pyrate Tryal of Anne Bonny & Mary Read, for a sail aboard the WOLF, Flagship of the Conch Republic and after the sail, pubic is invited to El Meson de Pepe for their 5th annual Literature & the Sea Reception and Caribbean Pirate’s Buffet, which will include book, poster and DVD signings. On Friday, November 30 at 4 p.m., the Third Annual ‘Official End of America’s Hurricane Season Party takes place at the USS MOHAWK CGC (WPG-78) Memorial Museum Ship’s Truman Waterfront Pier.
